It will be interesting to see how the Duke’s co-working Tuesdays work out. Home-workers, freelancers and students are among those being invited to bring their work to the pub, which is offering the essential elements of powerpoints, wifi, coffee and a friendly neighbour to watch your laptop while you go to the toilet. It’s the sort of venture that Wanstead has needed for some time – the logjam in the library is a familiar frustration (as is the sign on the Churchill Room door that it is NOT a place for studying).
