Wansteadium Blitz project, 15 Feb 1941; Empress Ave, Aldersbrook Rd

On this night in 1941, German planes dropped high explosives on Empress Avenue and Aldersbrook Road at 2327, causing fires in lofts which were extinguished. Two minutes later, incendiaries fell on St Margaret’s Road and Dover Road, but the resulting fires were put out without casualties.
