Bazaar & Rummage by Sue Townsend (23 April 2pm)
A new production of the comedy by the creator of Adrian Mole, Sue Townsend, and brought to life by Wanstead’s brand new professional theatre company, Wanstead Theatre Co.
A self-help group of agoraphobics put on a jumble sale, having left their homes for the first time in years. Though it has a resonance for us today coming out of lockdown, this play was first performed in 1982 and this production will be enhanced with 80s tunes, a bar and – get this – a real-life jumble sale.
Tickets include chicken in a basket (or vegetarian alternative) and a glass of fizz.
This production is supported by the Wanstead Fringe and by Petty Son and Prestwich.
Only suitable for over-16s.
