Sign up for the Jumble Trail

Early warning to Wanstead folk. As part of this year’s Wanstead Fringe there will be a Wanstead-wide Jumble Trail, where you set up stalls outside your house for people to come and buy the things you don’t want any longer. Make sure the date is in your diary – and for more details see the flyer below.

  1. pLS DROP OFF SOME JUMBLE SALE LEAFLETS TO THE ORANGE TREE, 123 HIGH STREET, E11 2RL AND WE’LL HAND THEM OUT.

  2. Karen, Aldersbrook has led the way locally with the jumble trail with a very, very successful one in May. Did you take part in that? If you did perhaps you can share some tips. You shouldn’t feel left out really. The Jumble Trail website defaults to a 1 mile radius based on the location of the Jumble Trail champion. This, reckon the originators of JT, is about the tolerance of people walking from stall to stall. Their advice is that if people further out sign up then people may not visit them & all their effort would be for nothing. If you visit the WFJT event page on FB https://www.facebook.com/events/490762324406678/ you’ll see another Aldersbrook resident has asked about this. It’s been suggested that they post on the events page and see if somebody in the catchment area would like to share their drive. The alternative is to see if there are enough people in Aldersbrook who want to give it a go so soon after May so that you have enough stalls to entice people over there.

  3. I am the Shop Manager at the Cancer Research UK shop in George Lane, South Woodford.
We participated in the Aldersbrook Jumble Trail by being available to collect any remaining unwanted/unsold goods on the day or on a pre-arranged time after the event. Is this something you would like to do? If so please contact me.
