Go on then, Happy Birthday

Belated birthday wishes to the Central Line which was keen for everyone to know of its big day. We probably take it a bit for granted in these parts, to be honest, and only realise how much we depend on it when it’s not working.

So yes, happy 125th, Central Line.

And here’s hoping that the current rash of fools smearing indelible nonsense over the inside of carriages get caught and sentenced to many hours cleaning up their mess. (Wansteadium is now 15 and feels its views are becoming stronger on this point.)

  1. The graffiti on the trains is a complete disgrace- these yobs have absolutely no respect for anything or anybody.
I agree they should be made to clean it all up. I also think that obviously it’s done during the night- but that the cameras should pick it up and they should stop the trains and get them arrested.

  2. I’ve recently written to our pro active mayor regarding the disgraceful state of the central line trains and the response was, we are doing all we can and we should have refurbished trains by 2029!
Not the response I was expecting. The wording of “should” didn’t leave me with much confidence..
