More than 50 bags of rubbish were collected from Eagle Pond by volunteers. The haul included plastic, polystyrene cups, fishing line, shoes, clothes, and an antique clay pipe and bottle. Also, bizarrely, coconuts.

Well done to all involved! I walk past daily and it was disgusting!
Why the idiots need to pollute places of beauty is beyond me!
Although you shouldn’t have to be doing this, clearing up after other people is not your responsibility!
About time the moronic culprits were caught and heavily fined!
Plastic is not the enemy we are and the way we dispose of it!
Thank you to all the volunteers!
Well done to all who worked on this task. A great achievement.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH
That’s excellent. I walked past there a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t believe how much rubbish was in there.
Well done everyone.
Well done all. Some local authorities have schemes to use young offenders for environmental work like this. Good idea?
