Andy White plus guests
After a successful January tour to launch latest album This garden is only temporary, itinerant Belfast songwriter Andy White plays a one-off London show at Wanstead Tap on July 12 at 8pm.
Fresh from the release of his critically acclaimed duo album with Tim Finn AT, Andy has been revisiting his solo catalogue and will be playing an unexpected selection of songs as well as those that have established him over a 38-year career as one of Ireland’s most strident and poetic performers—Religious Persuasion, James Joyce’s Grave, Street Scenes From my Heart.
Perhaps even, fittingly, Twelfth of July, and his song recently covered at the 25th anniversary Dublin concert for the signing of the Good Friday Agreement, Come Down to the Sea.
Now living in Melbourne, where he has been based since his first hook-up with Tim during the period in which they wrote and recorded Altitude with Liam Ó Maonlaí as ALT, Andy’s July concert is not to be missed. Latest single from This garden is only temporary, out now on all platforms, is I Miss You. Because he does.
