The Journey of Finding Self with Alexis Lee and Victoria Baskerville

Tuesday 10 September at 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Psychotherapy theories state that by the age of seven we have decided what we belief about self, others and the world and that these beliefs predict the rest of our lives. However our ancestral stories, lived experience and social and political events change us.

Thus exploring beliefs and life script within the context of real self, adapted self and the wider social, cultural and political systemic contexts.

This will be a psychotherapy-based workshop about exploring what makes us who we are. And what stories we tell ourselves that keeps us stuck.

Alexis and Victoria will hold the space and dialogue together.

There will be theoretical ideas interwoven and time for discussion and reflection.

Alexis Lee is a local author, content creator, public speaker and psychotherapy student. Who enjoys having Difficult Conversations live on her instagram and building communities. She is part of Wanstead Unites – who recently raised over 30k for Palestine. Her debut book is called Feeling Myself and she is currently writing her second book about anger and rage. She also runs two other communities – Healing Myself and Black Enough. And has a keen interest in anti-racist work and decolonising our minds.
