It turns out not to have been such a good idea to close the station car park in March 2024 in anticipation of building works beginning imminently. Twelve whole months of parking revenues gone somewhere else, along with some parking spaces which used to be quite useful.
This has been an unnecessary inconvenience for all those commuters who aren’t fortunate enough to live close to a Tube Station. Whoever’s decision it was close the car park so prematurely costing the Council, ultimately Council Tax payers should be fired for incompetence!
Completely. It has also forced the commuters displaced from the station car park into local roads where resident parking allows, or exceptionally isn’t in place, which on top of commuters who had eschewed station parking anyway has made parking in those streets for their residents difficult, if not impossible, especially at peak times.
