Wansteadium reader Lorna writes: “This puppy, or maybe tiny dog, was found yesterday, 19 May, in Wellesley Road. It was taken to Goddards in New Wanstead, from where it will be collected today by Redbridge Dog Wardens.”

Kingfisher accident
A Wansteadium reader who would rather remain nameless writes:
“Up until Saturday afternoon there was an air quality monitoring station on Kingfisher Avenue. Now there’s an empty plinth and a wall with a large hole punched out of it. I think I saw a car bumper trapped under the knocked over box. It must have been hit pretty hard, but I didn’t see it happen. Does anyone know what happened?
Wanstead weekend photo, LXXXIII

Geoff Wilkinson writes on Wanstead Daily Photo: “You have probably noticed how well kept and attractive the front garden is at The Corner House on the High Street. Well the other day I wandered around the back and that was looking pretty smart as well. What really caught me eye though was these sea shells that someone had taken the trouble to line up on the ‘rustic’ brick wall. Nice touch.”
