This is one of the first adverts to be shown on Wanstead High Street’s new ‘phone box’. It’s for a government project to collect pictures of the high street.
Maybe a local talented photographer will be moved to take a picture of Wanstead High Street with no lit signs except for something which purports to be a phone box.
Does it actualy function as a phone box? Does it have any otther purpose other than advertising?
Nobody knows, Sally, because nobody has ever used it. Or will ever use it.
It really isn’t the end of the world
Don’t be silly. The end of the worked has already happened when parking permits came to Wanstead And again. When a coffee hut opened in the park. And again when some seating was given to residents from 2 parking spaces. All of these horrors brought down Wanstead. And it has never recovered. ….or it did.
