Our annual foray into schools data. Figures from the Department for Education for Wanstead primary schools is below, showing a jump for Snaresbrook (recently relieved from potential forced “academisation”) and a fall for Wanstead Church School. I think this league table highlights what a nonsense many Ofsted inspections are. “Inadequate teachers ” at Snaresbrook Primary have somehow managed to get excellent results, equalling that of Nightingale which was last rated as Outstanding. It’s a shame that so many parents judge a school by arbitrary Ofsted reports. I find it odd that people go to great lengths (even moving house) to get their child into Nightingale instead of Aldersbrook which has come top of the league tables. With Nightingale changing their Head and them yet to be inspected under stricter guidelines it seems their status will soon change
