Thank you for the lovely pic to start the day: the moss is bryum species, v common everywhere but none the less beautiful for that. When the little capsules are ripe, they fling back their heads and distribute the new spores over a wide area, bit like a big sneeze.

Glad you like the picture. Thank you for identifying the name of the moss, it just looks fantastic when you get close up to it.
