Market forces. Huge overheads, anti-business local authority, high business rates, internet shopping, less parking spaces, the poor owners are trying to flog a dead horse to keep it going. What do you expect when the Council are opening kiosks on the green to compete with hard pressed high street businesses, allow a firm to sell Christmas trees in the park and ‘ethnically cleanse’ by stealth, independent traders?
I totally agree. The corporation of London are now flogging buildings on Wanstead flats.
