People of Wanstead, here is the lineup for the Wanstead Fringe 2017.

It includes some cracking old favourites, and also a wider range of events than ever before – films, talks, music, demos, tastings, comedy, photos, kids events. Click on the image to see the full detail, and head over to WansteadFringe.org for full online listings, which is where you can also buy tickets.

Over the next few days we’ll highlight a few of the great events, but for now, feast your eyes!

Judith has now cleared out from her High Street shop, leaving this farewell to her faithful customers.

The long-awaited renovations at the former British Queen are now fully under way. The former pub and restaurant is being converted into flats after a series of unsuccessful attempts at reinvention.

The full programme for the Wanstead Fringe will be available here (and through your letterbox) from Saturday morning. But now is the time to sign up if you want to take part in the Wanstead Fringe Jumble Trail. It will take place on Saturday 16 September from noon until 4pm – which gives you plenty of time to sort through what you want to sell.

We’re delighted to confirm that the Wanstead Fringe 2017 will take place between 9 and 16 September. It’s the fifth Fringe, and will be by far the biggest yet.

It’s going to include some of the events which have become key parts of the Fringe, including:

• The Duke Street Party on Saturday 9 September
• Comedy (with the returning star Paul Sinha) on Thursday 14 September
• Chris Gifford talking about his time in Squeeze at the Wanstead Tap (already sold out!)
• The Wanstead Fringe Jumble Trail on Saturday 16 September
• And the return of the Wanstead KINEMA on the evening of Saturday 16 September.

The full programme which will have more than 30 events taking place all around Wanstead will be published in the next week or so when tickets will also be available.
