Just like to point out that we have a Redbridge Pearly Queen Peggy, Doreen is Bow Bells Pearly Queen not Wanstead’s even though she lives in Wanstead
Wow – had no idea. Thank you Tom.
Doreen is the pearly queen of Old Kent Road. she turned up to the Wanstead Historical Society last week in full regalia!
the local old bussy bodies?
No, not the useless wanstead society but the Wanstead Historical Society. Doreen is chairwoman. Meetings are every third Thursday in the month at Wanstead library. all welcome. Next topic will be in high street noticeboard.
