Vaccination central

Walk-in vaccinations are now being offered at Wanstead Pharmacy, from Monday to Saturday 9am-6pm (excluding 1pm-2pm).

From coronavirus.data.gov.uk

Wanstead has been doing well for vaccination rates, as this map shows (the darker the area, the greater the vaccination rate). But there is still some way to go.

Redbridge Council has compiled a useful list of FAQs about vaccination, including links to versions in different languages. It is available here.

A total of 746 people in Redbridge have died within 28 days of a positive COVID test.

  1. Hello!
I’m one of the vaccination stewards at Wanstead Pharmacy. Would just like to amend some details, we are available for drop-ins (subject to availability) till 6pm Monday to Saturday, not 7pm.
Also, the vaccine offered yesterday was Moderna but on other days it might be Pfizer or Astra Zeneca so anyone who needs a second dose might want to check in with us which is the vaccine du jour 😉
We will be offering vaccinations at Wanstead Pharmacy till at least 3rd August, if might be extended, don’t know yet.

  2. Hi, I’ve had my first Pfizer dose 6 weeks ago. I’m going back home to see my parents in Greece for a week and I want to minimise my risk as much as possible. Can I walk in and get my second dose at 6 or 7 weeks even though I haven’t reached 8 weeks? Or is it strictly not allowed?
