Cyber Monday: If you wouldn’t mind…

It’s apparently Cyber Monday when online purchases peak. If it’s not too much trouble, and if you wouldn’t mind, Wansteadium should be very grateful if you would make any purchases through Amazon by clicking the box below first. It means that Amazon gives Wansteadium a small cut at no cost to you, which helps fund our web hosting costs. Thank you (and thanks again to those who have already done this).

Wanstead On film, episode four

playground2

park1

Wanstead’s growing status as a “go-to” filmset for adverts continues… The latest ad to do the E11 thing was shot in the playground on Christ Church green last month – you can definitely catch a couple of brief glimpses if you look carefully. Bravo to Nicola Jarratt from the Wanstead Playground Association for having the nerve to ask the advertiser (Richmond Sausages) if they fancied making a donation to their fundraising.

Previously in Wanstead On Film…

Who can forget the the [now closed] laundrette?

Or the barbers’ shop…?

To say nothing of Petty Son and Prestwich board on BBC Three’s Together.

Wanstead poison mystery

Tesco shunting

Incident on the High Street on Saturday morning. Quick response from Tesco on Twitter though…

Lights on without a hitch? What went wrong?

A festive but uneventful lighting-up this year.

Oh Wanstead Christmas tree, what’s happened to your power to engage and surprise? No row over funding? No anti-climactic fuse box blow? Not even any (or at least not many) disparaging “it looks like a badger” comments??

You’ve changed.

UPDATE: This too needs to be said:
